Prof. Hamadi Boga is a seasoned professional with nearly 30 years of experience as a scientist, academic, and government technocrat.

As the Vice President – Programs Delivery, at AGRA, he oversees AGRA’s delivery function in 15 AGRA Countries spread across East, Southern and West Africa.

He previously served as the Principal Secretary at the State Department for Crop Development and Agriculture Research, and as Vice Chancellor of Taita Taveta University (TTU). He has extensive experience in building institutions and relationships with key government officials and agencies, development partners/donor agencies, local and international academic institutions, scientific research organizations and external stakeholders to ensure that goals are met and exceeded.

Prof. Boga is widely recognized for his strategic leadership in agriculture policy and fundraising, particularly in spearheading the development and implementation of Kenya’s 10-year Agricultural Sector Transformation and Growth Strategy.

Prof Boga has a PhD in Biology from the University of Konstanz in Germany. His core skills and interest includes Leadership, Institutional Development, Agricultural Policy and development and Science policy and management.
