WPC 2026 Farmers Field Day · 29 October 2026 · FreshCrop, Mau Narok
Where Innovation Meets the Field
See the future of potato production growing before your eyes
On Thursday, 29 October, the World Potato Congress moves from the conference hall to the field for one of the most anticipated experiences of WPC 2026.
Hosted at FreshCrop in Mau Narok, the Farmers Field Day will bring together WPC delegates, more than 1,500 Kenyan farmers, researchers, technology providers, input suppliers, seed companies and industry partners for a hands-on showcase of potato production, innovation and knowledge exchange.
This is not simply a one-day exhibition. The Field Day is already growing.
Across the site, demonstration plots are being planted and managed by participating organisations in preparation for October, creating a living showcase of varieties, crop nutrition, crop protection, technologies and production approaches.

From Global Knowledge To Practical Impact
Why the Field Day Matters
The Farmers Field Day represents what the World Potato Congress is ultimately about: bringing people, science, technology and practical farming experience together to strengthen potato value chains.
For international delegates, it is an opportunity to experience potato production in Kenya first-hand and meet the farmers, businesses and organisations shaping the sector.
For Kenyan farmers, it creates direct access to international and local expertise, new varieties, crop management approaches, technologies, products and potential partners.
For participating companies and research organisations, it provides something equally valuable: the opportunity to demonstrate solutions in the field, under real growing conditions, and engage directly with the people who use them.
Most importantly, the Field Day creates a meeting point between global innovation and local knowledge, encouraging conversations and relationships that can continue long after WPC 2026.
