Visa Information for WPC 2026 Delegates

Do I Need a Visa to Enter Kenya?

As of 2024, Kenya has implemented a new Electronic Travel Authorization (eTA) system for most international visitors. Traditional visas are no longer required for many nationalities. Instead, travelers must apply for an eTA prior to arrival.

Kenya Electronic Travel Authorisation (ETA)

Kenya operates an Electronic Travel Authorisation (ETA) system for all foreign visitors. All international delegates must apply for an ETA prior to travel via the official Government of Kenya portal:

Important Advisory

We strongly advise delegates not to wait until the last minute to apply for their ETA. While many applications are processed quickly, approval may take 3–4 working days or longer in some cases. Late applications may result in travel disruptions.

How to Apply for the Kenya eTA

  1. Visit the official eTA portal: https://www.etakenya.go.ke

  2. Create an account and fill out the application form

  3. Upload required documents (passport bio page, travel itinerary, accommodation details, passport-sized photo)

  4. Pay the application fee (usually USD 30–50 depending on nationality)

  5. Wait for approval, typically within 3 business days

  6. Print or download your eTA for presentation at immigration on arrival

Documents You May Need:

  • A passport valid for at least 6 months from the date of entry

  • A return or onward travel ticket

  • Proof of accommodation (such as your WPC 2026 hotel booking)

  • Confirmation of registration for WPC 2026

Visa Exemptions

Citizens of certain countries in the East African Community (EAC) and a few other nations may be exempt from needing an eTA. Please check the updated list on the official eTA website.

Registration Confirmation Letter for Visa Purposes

Registered participants can request an official confirmation letter from the WPC 2026 Secretariat to support their visa or eTA application.

Travel Tip:

Apply for your eTA well in advance of your travel date to avoid any delays. Entry may be denied without a valid eTA or required documents.
